Here is the Christmas table. I love to get this little tree out and put on all the old cookie cutters I bought in an antique shop in Georgia. I think of the women who used them and hope their cookies bought joy to many children. Behind the tree you can see my new wallpaper which turned out to be perfect for the dining/kitchen wall and covered up an awful lot of that nasty ole beige. Yes, my friends, you are allowed to like beige but don't expect me to. I'm a gaudy gal! The more gold the better! I love the Art Deco feel to this wallpaper. Thank you too Robbie, for the pretty Xmas bunting you made and sent me for Christmas. I love it!
Hello and Merry Xmas to all my lovely friends on this wonderful Christmas Eve!

Hey Everyone! I have been busy sewing the rest of the European pillowcases, 5 altogether. Four of the fronts are finished and the last front is partially finished and just needs its surrounding fabric. I have attached the photos. Still a lot of work to do though. I have to put the cases together now, sew the pockets on the back, do the buttonholes (35 of them!) and sew 35 buttons on. I decided it would be fun to sew a pocket on the back of each pillowcase - space to put in a favourite small toy.

Nat and Bryan have really created an interesting and exciting program with their Japanese Textile Study Tour. I can hardly wait to go on this tour. I am staying an extra few days too and going to textile museums which will compliment the tour. It is my idea of a great holiday. Just have a look at the program (link below)
